It was a beautiful day at the Roots Memphis Sparrow House, where the little ones enjoyed a sweet front yard picnic filled with sunshine, snacks, and laughter.
Moments like these remind us why this work matters so much. At Roots, the moms in our homes are working incredibly hard to break generational cycles and create new paths for themselves and their children.
Recovery is not just about healing for today — it’s about building a better future for the next generation.
We are also excited to share that Roots, in collaboration with We Fight Monsters, is opening a women and kid–friendly recovery house in Memphis. This partnership will allow us to expand our mission and provide safe, supportive housing for even more moms and their children.
Seeing these beautiful babies playing safely in the yard is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when mothers are given the stability and support they need to rebuild their lives.
